Nationally Recognized Pittsburgh Restaurant To Open New Location
A critically acclaimed Pittsburgh eatery will open a second restaurant in the North Hills.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — Chengdu Gourmet, the Squirrel Hill Sichuan restaurant that has been nationally recognized on several occasions, is readying its second location on McKnight Road. The eatery will be located in the former Oriental Market space.
Owner and chef Wei Zhu four times has been named a semifinalist in the Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic category in the prestigious James Beard Award. Chengdu Gourmet also is a fixture on Pittsburgh Magazine's best restaurants list.
An official opening date has not yet been announced.

The Squirrel Hill Chengdu Gourmet, which opened in 2014, will remain open.
