Nearly 100 Dogs Found In Filthy Conditions In PA Home

The dogs were rescued from a home in Uniontown, PA on Monday. Canine carcasses also were found on the property.

UNIONTOWN, PA — There were too many dogs for rescuers to accurately count immediately, but nearly 100 canines were rescued Monday from deplorable conditions in a Fayette County residence 45 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Wearing respirators and Hazmat suits, members of the Cross Your Paws Rescue and local authorities spent the day removing the animals from the residence of an unidentified mother and son hoarding them.

It's unclear if the pair will face criminal charges, but one certainty is that the animals were living in filth. According to a Facebook post from the animal rescue and adoption organization, older dogs were found with no teeth. A female was delivering puppies during the rescue effort. Canine carcasses were found outside the home.
