PITTSBURGH, PA - A $1.1 billion investment in anything is quite the financial commitment. That’s how much the Allegheny County Airport Authority plans to spend to replace Pittsburgh International Airport’s existing landside terminal.

Construction is expected to begin on the 635,000-square foot building next year and it's expected to open in 2023. It will include all of the operations currently housed in the landside, but will be vastly different from the building it is replacing.

It also will be connected to the airside terminal, so passengers won’t have to ride a people mover like they do now.
