New Cooking Channel Show To Spotlight Three Pittsburgh Restaurants

"Late Nite Eats" premieres Thursday with stops in Shadyside, Lawrenceville and Downtown.

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Cooking Channel is debuting a new show, “Late Nite Eats,” on Thursday and it will have a decidedly yinzer feel. The show’s host, chef Jordan Andino, will spotlight three Pittsburgh eateries.

The show features Jordan visiting a new city and three local restaurants every week, joining chefs as they prepare their most popular creations for late-night diners. So where did he go in Pittsburgh?

His first stop was at The Yard in Shadyside, which serves more than two dozen types of grilled cheese sandwiches. He then visited Downtown to the Caribbean-themed Pirata that specializes in skirt steak tacos before finishing up at Umami in Lawrenceville for some sushi and deep-fried mochi ice cream.
