New Coronavirus Death Reported In Southwest PA

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA —There was one new coronavirus death in southwestern Pennsylvania on Wednesday. The Allegheny County death toll remained the same at 177, the county health department announced.

Nine new coronavirus cases were reported. The number during the outbreak in the county now stands at 2,122.

Three hundred and sixty-one people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. There were three new hospitalizations on Wednesday.

With 615 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 498 in Westmoreland County, 263 in Butler County and 158 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,656.

According to the state Department of Health, 311 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and seventy-seven in Allegheny County, 77 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and six in Washington County. One new death was reported in Butler County on Wednesday.
