New Downtown Pittsburgh Burlington Store To Open

The retailer plans prize giveaways as part of the opening festivities.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Burlington's long-anticipated new Downtown location will open Friday, the retailer announced Monday.

Having recently closed it store in the Heinz 57 Center on Sixth Avenue, Burlington will be opening in the Kaufmann's Grand development on Smithfield Street. Other businesses in the former department store include Target and Five Below.

On Friday and Saturday the first 100 customers 18 and older will receiving a $10 card to be used toward their purchase. On Sunday, customers will receive a free Burlington umbrella while

In addition, Burlington will donate $5,000 to the teachers at the Pittsburgh Weil PreK-5 school via the national nonprofit organization AdoptAClassroom.org. The money will be used to provide students in a local high-need school with classroom materials.

The store will be open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday.
