New Downtown Pittsburgh Cultural District Restaurant Opening
Here's what you need to know about the Cultural District's newest dining destination.
PITTSBURGH, PA - A Downtown Cultural District space that served as two popular eateries for 14 years before closing its doors in mid-2018 is about to reopen as a new restaurant. The Standard Market & Pint House will open on Penn Avenue that most recently was Le Lyonnias and, for 12 years prior to that, Sonoma Grille.
The Standard is expected to open later this month.
According to the restaurant's Facebook page, it will contain a quick-service cafe area with healthy menu options; a second-story mezzanine level; a self-serve tap system and full-service bar serving drafts, wines and cocktails and a menu featuring farm-fresh chef-crafted plates, bowls and shareables.

There will also be something possibly unique to Downtown eateries - a room filled with vintage games.
The Standard is owned by AMPD Group, which operates two other restaurants in the Cultural District - Ten Penny, located across the street on Penn Avenue, and Social House 7 on Seventh Street. They also own six Steel Cactus Mexican restaurants, the Local Bar + Kitchen chain and Delanie's Coffee in the South Side.
