New KDKA-TV Reporter A Southwestern PA Native
KDKA has bolstered its staff by hiring a reporter with strong local ties.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Another southwestern Pennsylvania native is coming home to report the news. KDKA-TV has hired Erika Stanish, who grew up in Uniontown and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Stanish announced the move on Facebook.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Stanish comes to KDKA from KOKH-TV in Oklahoma City, where she spent the last three years. Before that, she was a reporter and weekend anchor for four years at WJAC-TV in Johnstown.

At IUP, she earned a B.S. degree in communications media and minored in journalism.
Stanish's homecoming is the second time in two weeks a local station has hired a southwestern Pennsylvania native for its news staff. Ashely Zilka, a native of Rostraver, Westmoreland County, and a Duquesne University graduate, is joining WTAE-TV. She interned there more than a decade ago.
