New Pittsburgh Restaurant Pledges 'Irreverent Food & Cocktails'

PITTSBURGH, PA — A new restaurant,Hemlock House, is slated to open in Regent Square this month. The tavern and eatery on South Braddock Avenue will occupy the space once housed by the Map Room.

The venture comes from the owners of Rockaway Pizzeria in White Oak.

The menu will include:

• Macaroni and cheese with smoked gouda and parsnip crisps.

• Vegan farrotto featuring wild mushrooms and charred scallions.

• A vegetarian cream soup of the day.

• A kale salad featuring an orange viniagrette, marcona almonds, avocado and grapes.

• A handheld featuring a Nashville hot chicken thigh and gochujang mayo.
• Mushroom roast featuring wild mushrooms and shallots, egg, chives and creme fraiche.
• A lobster roll taco.
