PITTSBURGH, PA — For 22 years, Cafe Allegro captivated diners from its spot on South 12th Street in the South Side's Bedford Square, once winning Pittsburgh Magazine's Restaurant of the Year Award seven years in a row.

A new dining destination has opened in the space that was vacated by the acclaimed eatery.

Bedford House PGH promises "Modern American dining in the heart of Pittsburgh’s South Side. Our kitchen crafts elevated comfort food using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
