No New Allegheny County Coronavirus Deaths, Plenty Of New Cases

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Monday reported no new coronavirus deaths. The county death toll remains at 208.

The county reported 172 new cases, up from 138 on Sunday. Positive results are from tests that span July 3 through July 18. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is now 6435.

In the newest cases, ages range from two to 97 years old with the median age being 42.

Five hundred and twelve people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. Four new hospitalizations were reported.

With 1,153 cases in Westmoreland County, 958 in Beaver County, 559 in Washington County and 479 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 9,584 when Allegheny County numbers are included. That's up from 9,361 on Sunday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 351 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and eight in Allegheny County, 81 in Beaver County, 40 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and 10 in Washington County. Washington reported one new death.
