Old Clark Crush Candy Bar To Be Revived

ALTOONA, PA — Boyer Candy Company is resurrecting a long-forgotten piece of Clark bar history - the Clark Crush bar.

While researching the brand's past, which includes decades of being manufactured in a cavernous building on Pittsburgh's North Side, Boyer stumbled upon a variation of the original Clark bar that had been forgotten for generations.

The discovery inspired Boyer to revive to revive the product for a new generation. Clark Crush combines the familiar peanut butter and chocolate character associated with the Clark brand with a distinctive crunchy texture.

"We were digging through the history of the Clark Bar when we came across the original mold and formula for Clark Crush," said Boyer Candy Company president Anthony Forgione. "We knew immediately that we had found something special. It was a piece of Clark history that deserved another chance."

The product is expected to appeal to longtime Clark bar fans, collectors of nostalgic candy, and consumers looking for something different from today's traditional chocolate bars.

Clark Crush will be available through select retailers and directly from Boyer.

Clark bars originated in Pittsburgh in 1886 along with the D.L. Clark Candy Company and remain popular here today.
