Original Mad Mex, Pittsburgh Restaurant Chain's Anchor, Reopens
The first of the Pittsburgh-based Mexican chain's restaurants is up and running again.

PITTSBURGH, PA — After being closed for nearly a year because of staffing issues, Mad Mex's original Oakland location has reopened for business. The announcement was made on the restaurant's Facebook page.
The eatery, a neighborhood staple for nearly three decades, was only supposed to be closed for a short time. But labor shortages that have plagued restaurants and many other businesses kept the eatery closed.
The Atwood Street Mad Mex initially will be open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
