Owner Of Many Pittsburgh Radio Stations To Declare Bankruptcy: Report
The corporation that owns some of Pittsburgh's most popular radio stations soon will declare bankruptcy, according to a report.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A major player in Pittsburgh radio is about to declare bankruptcy, according to a published report. The Wall Street Journal says Audacy soon will file for bankruptcy protection and the company's primary lenders will assume ownership of the company once the restructuring occurs.
According to InsideRadio, Audacy has been battered by diminishing revenue and increasing losses because of a downturn in ad spending.
The impacts of the bankruptcy filing and likely ownership change on Audacy stations and programming have not been detailed yet.

According to the Audacy website, the company's Pittsburgh holdings include:
- KDKA-AM News Radio (1020).
- KDKA-FM 93.7 The Fan sports talk.
- WBZZ Star 100.7 FM adult contemporary.
- WAMO, 107.3. Urban adult contemporary.
- WDSY 107.9, Y-108 country.
