Owner Of Popular Pittsburgh-Area Bar Dies

The operator of one of the Pittsburgh area's most unique taverns has passed away.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Bob's Garage in Blawnox could have been just another anonymous and windowless dive bar.

Instead, owner Bob Paganico turned it into one of the most unique taverns in town. He decorated it with many Christmas and other holiday decorations with thousands of lights, creating a perpetually festive atmosphere.

Paganico, 78, of Penn Hills, died unexpectedly on Jan. 5.
