Parkway East Travel A Bad Idea Again This Weekend

PITTSBURGH, PA - Prepare for lengthy delays again this weekend on the Parkway East as PennDOT once again plans dam replacement work and median barrier repairs on both sides of I-376.

Here’s whenand where the work will occur:

• Westbound (inbound) I-376 between the Beechwood Boulevard-Forward Avenue on-ramp and the Oakland North 885 (Exit 73B) interchange from 5 a.m. Saturday through 11 a.m. Sunday. A single-lane restriction in the three-lane section will occur.
• Eastbound (outbound) I-376 between the Bates Street on-ramp and the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchange from 5 a.m. Saturday tthrough 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. I-376 will be reduced to a single-lane.

Bates on-ramp to eastbound (outbound) I-376 detour:

• From Bates Street, turn right onto Second Avenue.
• Turn left onto B Street.
• Turn right onto First Avenue.
• Turn right onto Grant Street.
• Turn right onto the Boulevard of the Allies.
• Take the ramp to eastbound I-376 toward Monroeville.
• End detour.
