Payless ShoeSoucre To Declare Bankruptcy, Liquidate: Report

Going out of business sales at the chain's 2,300 stores are expected to begin shortly.

U.S. discount retailer Payless ShoeSource Inc. will close all of its approximately 2,300 stores when it files for bankruptcy for the second time in as many years, Reuters reported.

Payless would join Toys R Us and The Bon-Ton stores as among the highest-profile retailers to shut their stores and liquidate in the past 12 months.

According to the Reuters report, a sight chance exists that Payless could find a buyer after it files for bankruptcy. But the company is preparing to begin going-out-of business sales in the next week.
