Penn Hills Mass Shooting: Police Seek Public's Aid In Probe
Police are still trying to get details on the weekend shooting at a Penn Hills bar in which two people were killed and seven others wounded.
PITTSBURGH, PA —Allegheny County police are asking for public assistance in the investigation of a mass shooting at a Penn Hills bar that left two people dead over the weekend.
In an update provided at a news conference on Tuesday, Lt. Lando Costa said a dispute between Nathan Smiley and an unknown man at Ballers Hookah Lounge and Cigar Bar on Laketon Road led to gunfire. The incident occurred Sunday at around 3 a.m.
Nine people were shot; Smiley, 44, and Stephanie Stuart, 28, of McKeesport were killed. The other seven people suffered wounds that are not life-threatening.

Although the victims and others who were at the bar have cooperated in the investigation, Nando said police still are uncertain about what occurred during the incident. As many as 100 people were at the bar at the time of the gunfire, according to witnesses; many of them fled the scene immediately.
Police want to talk to anyone at the bar when the shooting occurred. They also are looking for any video that might have been taken during the incident.
