Philly Pretzel Factory Owner Sold Drugs Via Drive-Thru Window: Police
The owner of a Pittsburgh-area Philly Pretzel Factory franchise faces multiple charges.

MONROEVILLE, PA — The owner of the Philly Pretzel Factory on William Penn Highway is accused of illegally selling prescription pain pills from his business's drive-thru window.
Bryan Schlagel, 45, of Murrysville, was arrested Thursday in a nearby autoship dealer parking lot, where police said he allegedly purchased 240 oxycodone pills, valued at about $14,000, from another person who also was arrested.
According to a criminal complaint, when Schlagel noticed police on the scene, he attempted to hide the pill bottle in the car door of the man's car and attempted to hide an envelope full of money between the car's seat.

According to the complaint, police and federal agents said the observed Schlagel buy and sell pills from his business and home over a period of several months.
He faces charges of possession with intent to deliver, prohibited acts and tampering with evidence.

He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
