Pirates Dumping Two Veterans At Trade Deadline: Reports
The Pittsburgh Pirates are being sellers at the trade deadline, according to multiple reports.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pirates are poised to trade pitcher Rich Hill and first baseman Ji Man Choi to the San Diego Padres as baseball's trade deadline is just hours away.
According to multiple reports, the pair will be shipped to the Padres for three players: Pitcher Jackson Wolf, outfielder Estuar Suero and first baseman-outfielder Alfonso Rivas.
Hill, 43, is the oldest active player in baseball. Choi missed two months of the season with an injury.

The Pirates currently are in fourth place in the National League Central Division with a disappointing 47-58 record after an impressive 20-8 start to the season.
