PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pirates on Monday traded underhwheming pitcher Quinn Priester to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for infielder prospect Nick Yorke.
Priester, 23, a former first-round draft choice, has struggled in his Pirates career. He has been assigned to Triple AAA Worcestester. Yorke has been assigned to the Pirates' top farm club in Indianapolis.
