Pittsburgh $1 Million PA Lottery Winner Collects Prize

A Pittsburgh woman is now a million-dollar lottery winning recipient.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Pennsylvania Lottery officials have presented a commemorative check to the winner of a recent $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket called $1 Million Seriously.

The check presentation was held at Willy’s Beer & Beverage on Freeport Road in Cheswick, where the winning ticket was sold. The store receives a $5,000 bonus for selling the big winner.

Kimberly Adamik, 56, of Pittsburgh, was the winner.

“I’ve been playing [the Lottery] for 35 years and have never won anything like this before,” she said.

“I scratched the ticket at the store and scanned it. The store owner asked me if I hit the big one, and I said, ‘You tell me.’ She started screaming when she saw how much it was.”

Adamik said she purchased the ticket on June 22 and claimed it on the 27th.

After confirming her big win, Adamik said she told her parents about the great news.

“I took a picture of the numbers on the scanner at the store and showed them. My mom was shocked, and my dad was tearing up. He never thought he would see a million-dollar ticket. Everyone is very excited for me.”
