Pittsburgh 2023 Christmas-Themed Pop-Up Bars Prepare To Open

PITTSBURGH, PA — 'Tis the season to be jolly -- at one of the several Christmas-themed pop-up bars that will be open in Pittsburgh this year for the holiday season.

Miracle, a cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting, will open Nov. 18 (Light Up Night) at 137 Sixth Street. grouchiest grinch in the holiday spirit," the bar promises on its website.

"Envision Santa on a surfboard instead of a sleigh, replace the classic pine tree with palms decked with ornaments, and hang hibiscus garlands alongside tinsel—in essence, that is the Sippin’ Santa spirit," the bar's website states.

The Tipsy Elf opens Nov. 24 at Mixtape, 4907 Penn Avenue in Garfield. This pop-up venture is ticketed affair; purchase a $15 ticket online for a 90-minute session and a drink upon entering.

According to the Elf's website, you can expect "Santa, elves, presents, tinsel, festive tunes and lots of winter warmer drinks, including a fabulous Christmas cocktail menu. The halls are more than fully decked with baubles, bows, hanging trees, wreaths and just about every festive goodie ever."

The Good Cheer Holiday Day will take over Rugger's Pub on South 22nd Street in the South Side on a date that hasn't been determined yet. Visit Pittsburgh says the bar will be decked with a faux fireplace, presents under the tree and lots and lots of tinsel. Among the offerings: a Yule-B-Hurtin' IC Light draft and energy bomb.
