Pittsburgh Adult Entertainment Venue Shut Down

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of Medusa's Lair, a Bloomfield gentlemen's club that for decades operated as the Cricket until recently.

A recent inspection found that a dish machine was not sanitizing and there was no required three-compartment sink at the bar.

Loose rodent bait was found around the bar and in a closet.

Raw beef tenderloin was found resting on top of cheese. That's a health department no-no.

The establishment had no hot water.

Curtains, instead of doors, were found in the restrooms. One toilet in the ladies room was clogged.

It is unclear when - or if - Medusa's Lair will reopen.
