Pittsburgh Among Top Cities For St. Patrick's Day Celebrations
A WalletHub study ranks Pittsburgh as one of the nation's best cities to engage in St. Patrick's Day revelry.
PITTSBURGH, PA — It's no blarney. Pittsburgh is the nation's third best city for St. Patrick's Day celebrations, a study by the personal finance website WalletHub has concluded. Only Philadelphia and Boston had higher 2022 rankings for the event.
WalletHub compared 200 of the nation's largest cities in categories such as Irish pubs and restaurants per capita to the lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick's Day to the weather forecast. Thankfully, the study was released before forecasters predicted a major winter storm for this year's St. Patrick's Parade in Pittsburgh.

- 1st: DUI fatalities per capita.
- 3rd: Percent of Irish population.
- 9th: Access to bars.
- 19th: Irish bars and pubs per capita.
- 20th: Weather forecast for St. Patrick's Day.
- 34th: Average price for a St. Patrick's Day party ticket.
- 35th: St. Patrick's Day parties and festivals per capita.
- 83rd: Percentage of residents who are fully vaccinated.
- 103rd: Lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick's Day.
