Pittsburgh-Area Elementary School Gym Teacher Dies Suddenly

NORTH VERSAILLES, PA - The East Allegheny School District is mourning the loss of Daniel Lorigan, Logan Elementary School's physical education teacher. Mr. Lorigan died suddenly at the age of 51.

Mr. Lorigan, of Worthington, Armstrong County, also was a girls softball coach at East Allegheny High School and a Freeport EMT.

"We are saddened by this tragic loss," Logan principal Sean Gildea said in a letter to parents.

The school has brought in grief counselors and Gildea said many students have met with them.
