Pittsburgh-Area Father & Son Arrested In Weapons, Drug Raid

PITTSBURGH, PA — A father and son were arrested Wednesday as authorities discovered a cache of firearms and cocaine at a home in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County.

The Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, along with Westmoreland County Drug Task Force and Westmoreland County SWAT, served a warrant in the 2100 block of Shaw Street.

They recovered 11 firearms — including handguns, shotguns, and rifles — and 152 grams of cocaine. Timothy Bold, 52, and his son, Derek Bold, 22, were taken into custody.

Timothy Bold is charged with 11 felony counts of illegal possession of firearms and felony drug trafficking. Derek Bold is charged with misdemeanor drug offenses.

“Our agents, along with law enforcement partners, encountered a convicted felon engaged in drug trafficking with a cache of firearms stored at his home,” Attorney General Sunday said in a statement. “Those firearms are now off the street, and these arrests should have an impact on public safety for this community.”

Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli said:"Today's successful seizure by law enforcement not only intercepted harmful drugs from hitting the streets, but a convicted felon with access to an arsenal of firearms was arrested.

"I commend the cooperation of law enforcement working together from local, county, and state agencies to apprehend this suspect."

Among the evidence that was seized:

• Glock 26 9mm Handgun (with two magazines)
• FIE .38 revolver
• Taurus .38 revolver
• Remington Model7600 rifle
• Winchester 1300 shotgun
• Weatherby Mark V rifle
• .22-caliber rifle
• Marlin Model 60 .22-caliber rifle
• Ithaca 12-gauge shotgun
• Saiga-410 .410 Magnum 3″ shotgun
• Marlin 30-30 rifle
• Approximately 152.7 grams of cocaine

The cases will be prosecuted by the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.
