Pittsburgh-Area Fire That Killed 5: Latest Update

Here is the latest update on the tragic Pittsburgh-area fire that took the lives of an adult man and four young children.

JEANNETTE, PA — Assistance requests are pouring in for the surviving members of a family in which five members died early Wednesday in a house fire.

Killed in the blaze were Tyler J. King, 27; Kyson John, 7; Kinzleigh John, 6; Keagan John, 3 and Korbyn John, who was just a month old.

Miranda John, the mother in the family, and two of her children survived the blaze.

A GoFundMe page has been established to assist the surviving family members. As of Thursday morning, more than $35,000 has been raised.

  • Boys size 8, size 3 shoe.
  • Boys size 18 months, size 5 diaper.
  • Household items and gift cards.

There also is a donation fund in the restaurant. There will be a basket raffle from March 23-25.

The Jeannette Police Department posted on its Facebook page that money can be sent to the Elliott Community Federal Union with the memo "Jeannette Area Disaster Fund."

"Please consider helping," the post stated.

The credit union's address is 920 North 4th St, Jeannette PA 15644.
