Pittsburgh-Area Man Accused Of Shooting His Mother
A Pittsburgh-area man allegedly attempted matricide on Monday, authorities said.
BEAVER COUNTY, PA — Police arrested a man after he allegedly shot his mother in a Brighton Township home on Monday morning.
First responders went to the 100 block of Fox Water Trail around 5 a.m. where they found the woman shot in the chest. She was life-flighted to a hospital and last reported in stable condition.
Her son, Daniel Kernich, 38, is facing charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and endangering another person.

He is being housed in the Beaver County Jail.
The victim's name has not been released.
