Pittsburgh-Area Man Charged In Brutal Beating Of Business Acquaintance
A Pittsburgh man faces numerous charges related to a beating that left a business acquaintance critically injured.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A Monroeville man has been charged in connection with a robbery and brutal assault in Swissvale.
Vance Hall, 40, has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and robbery, Allegheny County police said.
On Aug. 12, 2023, county 911 was notified of a man found unconscious in a vehicle in the parking lot in front of a bar at 1915 McCague Street. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

Through witness interviews and surveillance videos, police concluded Hall was responsible for the assault. Hall and the unidentified victim had been involved in multiple business transactions and Hall had made multiple threats against the man who was assaulted, police said.
Hall was taken into custody on Wednesday. He faces a preliminary hearing on June 12.
