A Pittsburgh-area mother is accused of killing her three-month-old infant.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Allegheny County police have arrested a Duquesne woman in connection with the death of her 3-month-old child.

Duquesne police on Sunday went to a residence in the 300 block of Hemlock Alley for a report of an unresponsive infant. First responders immediately attempted CPR on the infant, and the child was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office autopsy determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head and the injuries were inflicted by an adult.
