Pittsburgh-Area Music Amphitheater Changes Name Again
The Washington County amphitheater apparently no longer will be known as S&T Bank Music Park.

BURGETTSOWN, PA — S&T Bank Music Park, we hardly knew you. After less than a year, the Washington County music amphitheater that has had a bevy of names in its 30-year history will ditch the music park moniker and will be known as The Pavilion at Star Lake.
The new name and logo appeared on the amphitheater's Facebook page over the weekend.
The 23,000-seat concert venue has hosted some of the music industry's biggest names over the years. Owned and operated by Live Nation, it opened in 1990 as the Coca-Cola Star Lake Amphitheater.

In 2000, the facility was renamed the Post-Gazette Pavilion, after the Pittsburgh newspaper purchased the naming rights. The amphitheater was renamed First Niagara Pavilion in 2010 when the bank took over naming sponsorship, then became known as KeyBank Pavilion in 2016 when that bank purchased First Niagara.
S&T's investment in the naming likely did not bring the bank the publicity it sought with the investment, as the amphitheater's entire 2020 concert schedule had to be canceled because of the coronavirus outbreak.
