Pittsburgh-Area Officer-Involved Shooting Prompts Schools Lockdown
A Pittsburgh-area school district went into lockdown mode after a police officer and a criminal suspect exchanged gunfire on Tuesday.
STOWE TOWNSHIP, PA — Allegheny County police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that had all of the Sto-Rox School District schools on lockdown Tuesday afternoon.
A suspect and officer exchanged gunfire in the 700 block of Woodward Avenue just after 2 p.m.
The status of the suspect and officer is unclear. Police said more information will follow.
