Pittsburgh-Area Pastor Facing Sex Charges Involving Young Girls

The pastor was arrested Tuesday by Pennsylvania State Police.

BUTLER, PA — The pastor of By His Grace Christian Ministries is facing felony charges after allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with two young girls and an adult member of the church's congregation.

Pennsylvania State Police said Herman Clare Rushing Jr. was arrested Tuesday and charged with indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children after an extensive police investigation.

The ages of the girls involved in the case are 13 and 10. Both are from Prospect.

Located on North McKean Street in Butler, By His Grace Christian Ministries is a nondenominational house of worship, according to its website. The inappropriate contact with the alleged adult victim occurred in the church, police said.
