Pittsburgh-Area Schools Get Bomb Threat, On Lockdown

A Pittsburgh-area school district is on modified lockdown following the threat that was issued Thursday.

IRWIN, PA — Norwin School District buildings ares on modified lockdown after a bomb threat was made against the school district.

The district announced it is working with the North Huntingdon Township police to investigate the situation. No students will be dismissed until the threat is cleared by law enforcement.

Modified lockdown means that there is no entry and exit to the school and outside events, field trips or outside activities, including recess, will not occur. Parents and guardians will not be admitted to a school during a modified lockdown.
