Pittsburgh-Area Waitress Receives Huge Tip, Shares With Coworkers
A waitress at a popular Pittsburgh-area eatery showed the true spirit of the holidays in sharing a massive tip with fellow employees.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The check for a group of people at a Springdale last weekend was $123. A 20 percent tip, reasonable by most restaurant standards, would have been $24.60.
Kayla Webster, a waitress at David's Diner, received a $900 cash tip on that $123 check. That's a lot more than 20 percent, no?
The largesse was provided by the Just Be Claus Crew, an informal local group that obviously tips very well and has done so at several local restaurants this holiday season.

“It honestly brings us as much joy as the server,” Crew founder Betsie Bish told Triblive. "Seeing someone smile and knowing you played a part in putting it there is the best feeling in the world.”
It certainly brought joy to Webster and the rest of the diner's staff with whom she shared the tip.

Stated a post on the David's Diner Facebook page:
"So yesterday, just a normal busy Saturday at David’s Diner, a group of onderful people gave a tip to one of my waitresses that was life changing," the post stated. "But it gets better, she shared that tip with my entire staff! Way to pay it forward Kayla."
