Pittsburgh Construction Worker Plummets To His Death
A man died Thursday morning after falling from a construction site in a Pittsburgh neighborhood.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A man was killed Thursday morning after falling from scaffolding at a construction site in North Oakland.
The accident occurred just before 8 a.m. in the 400 block of Melwood Avenue, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.
The victim was identified as John Allen, 47, of McKees Rocks.

According to witnesses, Allen was working on the exterior of the building nine stories above the ground when he fell.
Medics pronounced Allen dead at the scene at 8:01 a.m.
