Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Goes Dark During Coronavirus Scare
The trust performance spaces will shut down during the coronavirus outbreak.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Two days after announcing the intention to remain open during the coronavirus outbreak, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust reversed course Friday. The trust has canceled or postponed all exhibitions, films and events through April 6.
The cancellation applies to all events at the Benedum Center, Heinz Hall, Byham Theater, O'Reilly Theater, Greer Cabaret Theater, Harris Theater, August Wilson African-American Cultural Center and Arcade Center.
The trust on Wednesday announced it intended its facilities to stay open during the outbreak. Since then, Pittsburgh and Allegheny County have declared states of emergency and the first coronavirus case in western Pennsylvania has been confirmed.
