Pittsburgh Eatery Hit With Consumer Alert

The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for a popular Pittsburgh eatery.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Sinful Sweets on Liberty Avenue, Downtown.

A recent inspection revealed five dead mice on sticky taps and on the floor. Two nests were identified at the front counter and under the oven in the prep kitchen.

Additionally, large amounts of droppings were found on the floors, low shelving units, counters, the restroom and office.

The inspection also noted that shelving and counters are covered in dust and not being cleaned regularly. The same problem exists with all food containers and lids, equipment, drain boards and food trays.

Bags of trash were found to be accumulating in the hallway.
