Pittsburgh To Experience A Frosty Halloween

PITTSBURGH, PA — Expect Western Pennsylvania to have one of the colder Halloweens in recent memory on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service already has issued a freeze warning that will be in effect from midnight until 10 a.m. tomorrow. The anticipated low temperature in Pittsburgh is expected to be 30 degrees.

Although afternoon temperatures are expected to rebound into the low- to mid-40s Tuesday, the weather service predicts wind chills will factor into the trick-or-treat equation. Here is the wind chill forecast for early tomorrow evening:

  • 6 p.m. - 38 degrees.
  • 7 p.m. - 35 degrees.
  • 8 p.m. - 33 degrees.

Expect a gradual warming trend later in the week as kids devour the candy they braved the elements to obtain. Temperatures will reach the mid-50s by Friday, with anticipated highs around 60 for Saturday
