Pittsburgh Family Attempting To Recover From Devastating House Fire
A fundraising effort has begun to aid a Pittsburgh family after a fire "took away everything they owned," a family member said.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A Beechview family is attempting to recover from a weekend fire that caused signficant damage to their home and currently has left them without a consistent place to live.
A GoFundMe page was established by Amanda Spanos to aid three of her family members displaced by the blaze.
"My mother, sister, and niece have recently experienced a devastating house fire that took away everything they owned," Spanos wrote on the page.

"In the aftermath, they have been moving between hotels and my home, trying to find some sense
of stability while coping with the shock and loss. Despite their efforts to stay positive, the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, and it’s been incredibly hard for them to keep their spirits up.
"The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping my family cover the costs of temporary living arrangements and begin the long process of replacing their essential belongings.

"Every contribution, no matter the size, will help them take a step closer to rebuilding their lives and finding a new sense of normalcy."
As of Tuesday morning, $1,100 of the $4,500 goal had been raised.
