Pittsburgh Fast-Food Restaurant Hit With Consumer Alert

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for the Boston Market on Baum Boulevard in Shadyside.
A recent inspection revealed the presence of fruit flies around a sink in the kitchen. Additionally, evidence of poor employee personal hygiene was discovered as there was no soap present at hand washing sinks.
Also, dried food stains were present on an electrical panel in the room where chicken is placed on rotisserie spits. The walls, ceilings and floors were visibly dirty.

Outside of the restaurant, large amounts of flies were found around a dumpster next to a medical building. The inspector noted that was a repeat violation.
Additionally, large amounts of garbage - including cardboard boxes, plastic wrappings and other assorted trash - were found to be accumulating in dumpsters.
