PITTSBURGH, PA —The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania through Wednesday morning. The Pittsburgh area is expected to receive as much as an inch of rainfall Tuesday.

The weather service warns that excessive runoff could trigger flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Additional rain and possible snowfall is expected later in the week.
