Pittsburgh Getting New Stadium-Screen Sports Bar

A sports bar chain is expanding nationally and Pittsburgh will be one of its next locations.

PITTSBURGH, PA — An expanding sports bar chain known for have a stadium screen and hundreds of other TV screens providing immersive 360-degree viewing is headed for Pittsburgh's North Shore.

Tom's Watch Bar, owned by the co-founder of the Smashburger restaurant chain, will be located on North Shore Drive between PNC Park and Heinz Field. Tom's website confirmed its impending arrival in Pittsburgh, Houston, Sacramento, Orlando and Washington, D.C.

Founded in 2014, Tom’s Watch Bar's says on its website that the bar provides highly curated sports programming covering all sports -- from collegiate to professional to international, big events and prize fights, even emerging obscure and outrageous sports.

Tom’s Watch Bar promises to offer an expansive array of domestic, imported and craft beers, all available in its signature two-handed 40-ouncez stein. The menu is highlighted by traditional sports bar fare coupled with a contemporary take to other items.

What makes Tom's Watch Bar different from other sports bar chains? Ryan told Forbes, “My partners and I take familiar thematics that most Americans know and find modern perspectives and next generational approaches to execute them in new ways.”
