Pittsburgh Great Race To Trigger Numerous City Street Closures

PITTSBURGH, PA — A number of streets around the city will be closed at times this weekend because of the running of the 49th annual of With the 49th annual Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race, as well as the Dollar Bank Junior Great Race.

The closures are as follows:

Saturday, Sept. 26

Downtown road closures for the Dollar Bank Junior Great Race 1-Mile Family Fun Run, held on Saturday, Sept. 26, will begin Downtown at 9 a.m. and remain closed until 11:30 a.m. A course map of the Junior Great Race is available here.

Sunday, Sept. 27

Race morning road closures on Sunday, Sept. 27 will begin Downtown near Stanwix Street at 5:30 a.m. Roads along the course will close at 6:30 a.m. and remain closed until 11:00 a.m. Streets in the Downtown, Uptown, Oakland, and Squirrel Hill neighborhoods will be impacted. Below is a list of approximate road closure times:

“No Parking” signs will be posted in advance on all streets affected by race closures. Residents and visitors in the affected zones are advised to park vehicles outside the closure areas posted no parking. Vehicles parked in these areas during the restricted times may be removed for participant safety. A course map of the 5K/10K is available here.
