Pittsburgh Halloweekend: Fun, Spooky Events Around Town
Here's your Patch guide to entertaining Halloween activities this weekend.

PITTSBURGH, PA — It's Halloweekend time around Pittsburgh and there is no shortage of ways to make it creepy. Let's jump right into the frightful possibilities:
- Phantom Fall Fest, Oct. 29, 6-11 p.m.; Oct. 30, 12 p.m.-11 p.m.; Oct. 31, 12 p.m.-1o p.m. Kennywood.
It's the last weekend for the park's first fall fest, which features family-oriented activities
during the day and spooky fright night adventures during the evening. Kiddieland, Thomas Town and other family favorites are open during the day, with the park transitioning to fright mode for older park patrons.
- ScareHouse, Oct. 29-31, various times, Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer.
This spooktacular haunted house is even scarier than all of the deserted storefronts at the mall. ScareHouse has been ranked as one of “America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions” by Travel Channel and has been featured on Good Morning America, The Daily Show, Travel Channel, CBS and ABC News, Buzzfeed, Forbes, Mental Floss and others.

- "Silence of the Lambs" 30th Anniversary Night, Oct. 29, 5:30-9:30 p.m., Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum, Oakland.
Come see a replica of "The Silence of the Lamb" cage in the very room where the famed escape scene was shot, then enjoy a screening of the Academy Award-winning movie that was filmed in Pittsburgh.
- Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Parade, Oct. 30, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., The Block Northway, Ross.
The parade will feature a disc jockey, vendors, food trucks and a photo booth. It will be hosted by WBZZ-FM's Elista Hathaway and Rachael and John from the Ya Jagoff podcast.

- Haunted Pittsburgh Cruise, Oct. 30, 6:15 and 7:45 p.m., Gateway Clipper Fleet, Station Square.
