Pittsburgh To Host 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Games
March Madness again will descend upon PPG Paints Arena next year.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Pitt suffered a disappointing end to its season by falling to Xavier in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Sunday. But on Monday, the NCAA lifted the spirits of local basketball fans by announcing March Madness will return to Pittsburgh in 2024.
According to the NCAA website, the city will host first- and second-round tournament games March 21-23 at PPG Paints Arena. Duquesne University, mere steps from the arena, will be the host institution.
PPG Paints Arena has become an increasingly frequent selection to host tournament games. First- and second-round games were played there just last year.

Other cities hosting first- and second-round games next year are New York (Brooklyn), Charlotte, Indianapolis, Omaha, Salt Lake City, Spokane and Memphis.
If Pitt makes the tournament again next year, it likely will be seeded in one of those seven cities, as the NCAA generally eschews giving teams in the tournament a home game.
