Pittsburgh Humane Animal Rescue, Dancing Gnome Brewery Partnering

The rescue organization and Sharpsburg brewery are teaming on a series of new brews and special events to benefit animals.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Humane Animal Rescue and Dancing Gnome Beer have partnered on new beer releases each month through the rest of the year. The beers will be named after a different animal that the animal service agency cares for at its domestic shelters or wildlife rehabilitation center.

A beer release party will occur Saturday from 12-3 p.m. at Dancing Gnome Brewery in Sharpsburg.

The monthly beverages cans will be designed by local artist Julie Maida. The first one features her own pooch named Sparrow. This beer is a hazy sticky IPA has an alcohol by volume content of 6.2 percent and has notes of tropical fruit cocktail, citrus zest, and resin, according to Dancing Gnome.
