Pittsburgh Mall Announces Major Additions & Renovations

PITTSBURGH, PA — Although several Pittsburgh shopping malls are struggling and face uncertain futures, some of them are thriving.

Among the thriving ones is South Hills Village, which announced Monday that it is adding new retailers and making property renovations.

“Everything happening at South Hills Village is centered around elevating the guest experience,” said Andrea Foster, general manager. “With new retailers and refreshed spaces on the way, we’re committed to delivering a modern, inviting environment our guests will love.”

Coming soon to the mall:

• Abercrombie & Fitch, which will open a new store on the lower level near Apple this fall.

• Madewell: Offering denim, wardrobe staples and trendy accessories, the store is slated to open in 2027 on the lower level across from lululemon.
• Rowan: A jewelry brand known for its curated ear-piercing experience designs, Rowan is opening this fall on the lower level near Von Maur.
• Spencer’s: Specializing in irreverent, trendy and fad-based merchandise, Spencer’s will be located on the upper level, near Macy’s and is slated to open this summer.
• Swarovski: Showcasing its its cut crystal jewelry, accessories and décor, will open this spring on the lower level near Von Maur.
• Pandora: Pandora is building a new updated store on the lower level near LUSH, bringing its globally recognized charm jewelry and personalized designs to an expanded location.

Aesthetically, mall improvements will include interior painting, refinishing the mall’s terrazzo floors, tile replacement, and updates to two major entrances featuring new South Hills Village signage.

Additional improvements range from installing new automatic sliding doors at select entrances to adding soft seating and convenient charging stations throughout the center. Most mall restrooms are also being renovated, incorporating new features such as self‑sanitizing diaper‑changing tables. A new family restroom with a dedicated nursing station recently opened in the food court as well.

Wait. There's more. The AMC Theater at South Hills Village is also going through a refresh to further enhance the entertainment offerings.
