Pittsburgh Marathon 2023: How To Get Around Town During The Race
Many Pittsburgh streets will be closed for the marathon. Buses will be detoured. Here's how to navigate around the big event.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Getting around the city will prove challenging this weekend because of the parking restrictions and street closures associated with the 2023 Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon.
Here's what you should know about how to navigate around town, according to P3R, the event's organizers:
On Friday, the Boulevard of the Allies, Downtown, will close between Wood and Stanwix streets at noon. The closure will last through Sunday.

On Saturday, the 5K and Kids Marathon will occur. Street closures Downtown and on the North Side will begin at 6:45 a.m. and continue until 12 p.m.
On Sunday, the marathon, half-marathon and relay will take place. Closures begin at 1:30 a.m. and last into the afternoon in certain neighborhoods. Specific closure times can be found here.
